North Seattle Community College has a number of financial assistance programs to help pay for programs such as Nursing Assistant-Certified.
The Worker Retraining program is a package of services, opportunities and specialized instructional programs to help students return to work as soon as possible.
The Limited English Proficiency (LEP) program provides specialized services to WorkFirst parents, refugees and immigrants with limited English skills to improve their employability and place them into jobs that lead to self sufficiency. LEP parents must be receiving TANF to be eligible.
The Opportunity Grant provides educational access and support for low income students to progress further and faster along high demand career pathways.
The WorkFirst Program is designed for students receiving cash assistance from Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and for low-income working parents who wish to upgrade their skills to prepare for better jobs.
The Food Stamp Employment and Training Program assists food stamp recipients who have been assessed as needing basic education, GED/ABE, ESL or vocational training in order to increase their opportunities for employment.
